Slipping between the lines,
Sliding slowly with a sense of certainty that slights our tightened grip upon reality.
We stumble by the horizon,
Blinded by its crude vastness,
A cruel and beautiful edge,
Pressed against a new frontier that looms with the presence of a lunar chasm.
We are hidden in the shadows
And dripping in light,
Bathing in our mother’s sun,
While dancing under distant relatives at night.
We pinter in a hinterland of polar existence,
Pushed and pulled and stretched to the extremities of antithesis.
We are the tightrope walkers,
Stalking the future, strung by the past,
Tugging at the plinth and hoisted by the naked rafters intricately crossed.
We split from the roadmap,
dipping into data streams,
Slipping binary guts into balls of steam that hold our dearest memories.
We are awake on the crest of the worldwide wave,
The whitecap at midnight breaking at the bow.
We move to new forms of existence,
Casting avatars as reality stars in our solid states of simulation.
We are everything and everyone,
From the sun to the sands to the unseen,
Splitting and double slitting to infinite divisibility
We stretch like plasticine,
All the way to interstellar mise-en-scène,
From volumetric clouds in training camps.
We are nearing far away,
Parting planks and scaping parsecs,
Staking nineteen-trillion miles of pure uncertainty.
We dance in the fire of prophecy,
Praying for saints of science to site divine right to sanity and old age.
We are on stage, matter converted players,
Generation generated, conflating animated faces of the past.
We last for a moment to realise tomorrow,
To grasp the past before us and conceive the greater unknown.
